This meeting of the Asset Management Scoping Forum was chaired and hosted by Phil Bartram of Travers Smith LLP. Forum members discussed Regulation (EU) 2019/834 the “EMIR Refit” and a proposed E.U. Regulation on the prudential requirements for investment firms (“IFR”) and a proposed E.U. Directive on the prudential supervision of investment firms (“IFD”) and the definition of “investment firms” and scope of “assets under advice”.
