A meeting of the Insurance Scoping Forum was held on 19 November 2019. The meeting was chaired by Peter Bloxham. Katie Banks of Hogan Lovells International LLP presented on new investment obligations for trustees of occupational pension schemes. Forum members also discussed the definition of a “contract of insurance”, the Prudential Regulatory Authority consultation on a framework for assessing financial impacts of physical climate change: a practitioner’s aide for the general insurance sector and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority’s consultation on draft technical advice for the 2020 review of Solvency II.
